The questions you need to answer are who wrote (drew it) it, when, what their purpose was, who their intended audience is/was, were they effective at delivering their message(s), what impact did they/it have, and then assess how it fits into your growing understanding of 20th century.
Formatting:
To me, this is the best way to approach this assignment as far as lay out, but this is not set in stone, feel free to adjust as you see fit, or that fits the source the best. Visual sources are also fine.
Paragraph One: Introduction, Identify the source you used, who wrote it, and a basic summary of the source.
The next- 4-6 paragraphs should be you answering the questions I noted above. Addressing the “who wrote it, who were they writing it for, is it effective, what is its purpose etc.” makes sense here, but it is up to you how you want to complete it. Ultimately you want to determine what its purpose was and if it achieved what it was designed to do. You should include 2-3 quotes (or direct references to) the source to provide credibility and context to your overall assessment of the piece.
3 – Write a conclusion tying together your answers to all of the questions. Conclusions are for restating only you do not want to add in additional information, just restate your results.
Include a reference page.
